Another New Year’s eve spent with our dear family in Tel Aviv.
Here I am pictured with my beloved great aunt Frida Camhi, a role model and mentor of mine. Frida along with her late husband, my great uncle #Mario #Camhi and their daughter, my cousin Stella Camhi Nissenberg have stood by me and my family in our good times and bad times.
Mario and Frida also stood by my grandmother Yvette nee Camhi, Nahmia back then in 1979 when my grandmother Yvette fell into a deep #depression after the death of her youngest son Solomon Nahmias while serving his duty in the Greek Armed Forces. We carry the pain of Solomon’s loss to this day.
Back in 2021, Frida and Stella also stood by me, as well as by my husband Elias Messinas and daughters emotionally, as well as practically through my #depression.
Now, that I am back to myself, back to the light, and back to my life’s path, which is very much inspired by my late uncle Mario Camhi, I take this First-New-Year’s-Day opportunity, to thank them from the bottom of my heart.
Deep down, I know that I couldn’t have come out of the darkness, without the two of them holding my hand gently, and lovingly supporting my spirit at that time.
For ever #grateful to you both for #sustaining me, and ensuring I cross through the darkness.
Let’s drink L’chaim! To Life! To #Family! To Family Bonds! To #TrueFriends and #Community, my life’s support network, you know who you are.
Thank you dear ones, I could have never made it without you!
From Jerusalem with love,
Yvette Nahmia-Messinas
