❤ Goodbye Dear Aunt Eftychia Nahmia-Nachman

Με μεγάλη θλίψη, αλλά συγχρόνως με μεγάλη ευγνωμοσύνη που ΄ήταν μέρος της ζωής μου, της οικογένειας Ναχμία και Νάχμαν θέλω να μοιραστώ μαζί σας την έξοδο της θείας μου Ευτυχίας Ναχμία-Νάχμαν από την ζωή σήμερα Τετάρτη 16 Φεβρουαρίου 2022. Η κηδεία της θα γίνει αύριο Πέμπτη 17 Φεβρουαρίου στις 3μμ, στο Γ’ Νεκροταφείο στην Νίκαια.

Η θεία Ευτυχία ήταν ενάς Καλός άνθρωπος, με Κ κεφαλαίο, με μεγάλη ψυχή, αγάπη και συμπόνοια για τον συνάνθρωπο. Πάντα με ένα γλυκόλογο, με΄ένα χαμόγελο, καλοσυνάτη. Ήταν χαμηλών τόνων, με μεγάλη δύναμη, πνευματικότητα, και σπουδαίο έργο στο χώρο των γραμμάτων και της Ισραηλιτικής κοινότητας στα Γιάννενα και την Αθήνα.

Έγραψε τρία βιβλία με τα οποία ακούμπησε πολύ κόσμο, και με το “Γιάννενα Ταξίδι στο Παρελθόν” μας ταξίδεψε στην κοινότητα που γεννήθηκε και αγάπησε ως παιδί.

Θεία Ευτυχία ο κόσμος είναι για μας, την οικογένεια και τους δικούς σου πιο σκληρός χωρίς την γλυκιά σου παρουσία.

Καλή σου ανάπαυση, θα σε θυμόμαστε πάντα με αγάπη!

It is with great sorrow, but also with immense gratitude for having had Eftychia Nahmia-Nachman in the life of the Nahmia and Nachman families that I am sharing with you my dear aunt’s Eftychia Nahmia-Nachman passing today.
Her funeral will be held tomorrow Thursday February 17 at 15:00 at the third cemetary in Nikea, Athens, Greece.
Aunt Eftychia, my father’s Jacob’s sister was a Good person with a capital G, full of love and compassion for her fellow human beings. Eftychia was welcoming us at her home with a smile, was a gracious hostess, and spread loving kindness wherever she was.
Altough Eftychia seemed to be a low key person, she had an immense impact on many of us through her life, and through her writing and leadership positions within the Jewish community of Athens.
Eftychia Nachman authored three books, the most known among which is the Yannina: A Journey to the Past that touched many people and it is thanks to her that we know of the rites and customs of the pre-Second-World-War life of the Jewish community of Ioannina.
Aunt Eftychia, THANK YOU for all that you have offered us with your life!
May your parents MOISIS and ANNA Nahmia as well as your husband TELIS NACHMAN greet and welcome you on the other side.
