We too support the protection of the mosaic floor of the Aegina Synagogue. We have made Aegina our holiday home for the past 15 years and knowing that the Greek Jewish community is small I certainly did not expect to find Jewish culture and heritage in Aegina.
I am a Swedish Jew, and the Jewish community in Sweden is also very small. I know how important it is to preserve and guard your roots. It therefore warms my heart and makes me proud, not only that a prosperous Jewish community once lived on the island, but that I can help preserve the Jewish heritage on Aegina.
