❤ Take Me to the Deep

I have to research when exactly I wrote this poem, but it was sometime between 2016 to 2018.

From Jerusalem with love,

Yvette Nahmia-Messinas

Take Me to the Deep

Take me to the deep,

I stagnate in shallow waters.

If you leave me in the shallow,

I will leave,

For the deep.

Deep down you and I know,

that shallow waters kill and dry out one’s soul.

Take me with you to a swim in the deep,

or else you will lose me.

Wild women need depth,

or else dry up, by the shore.

Take me with you to the deep waters sister,

If not, I will dry up here by the shore.
