We too support the protection and preservation of the mosaic floor of the Aegina Synagogue.
Being ourselves part of the Greek Diaspora, we feel how important it is to preserve the distinct cultural heritage of the Jewish community in Greece, as we here in Jerusalem work hard to preserve the distinct cultural heritage of Greece, its language and culture.
There is an old bond that connects the Greek and Jewish cultures, and we the Greek Community of Jerusalem have always acted to promote, bridge and connect between our cultures for the benefit of our peoples and for the promotion of brotherhood in this region.
Yvette and Elias Messinas are members of our community and we are happy to support them in realizing this worthwhile cause which is important to all of us.
