❤ Aggeliki Toumpanaki and the Buzz Bastardz in Tel Aviv

Aggeliki Toumpanaki and her group “The Buzz Bastardz” past a tour in Amsterdam and London are traveling to Tel Aviv directly from Athens. The live concert “Crossovers: from tradition to modern form” will take place on Tuesday the 18th of February at 21.00 in Riding 3. Toumpanaki is an excellent singer, a young, fresh, while at the same time experienced vocalist, influenced by jazz, blues and ethnic music. Aggeliki holds a doctorate in molecular biology but eventually chose to become a professional musician with very good studies in music. Aggeliki also does charity work in Athens with refugees and children teaching community music to people who cannot afford it. The “Buzz Bastardz” group consists of the accomplished drummer Elias Doumanis on the drums and electronic percussion, Petros Kourtis on the Latin percussion, who will also teach a drums masterclass while in Tel Aviv, the saxophonist Dimitris Tsakas, the trumpetist Pantelis Stoikos, the bass-player Apostolos Kaltsas and the guitarist Vassilis Ketentzoglou. They are all well-known musicians who have been playing together for a long time and have a solid result.
As for the details of the live programme, they will play songs by Xarhakos, Theodorakis, Hatzidakis, two Jewish songs, world music songs, tracks from Buzz Bastardz’s personal album, Jimmy Hendrix’s songs, some arrangements of Brazilian songs and Greek traditional songs. A total of two hours with a break.

The concert will be improvisational and interactive, as the audience will be involved. The singer always makes very good contact with the audience. This is a concert you are definitely going to enjoy!

Elezis has been working as a teacher of theory, piano and music for pre school children over the last 25 years.
