We are neighbors of Yvette in Jerusalem and feel a close connection with Greece and its monuments. I was a Fulbright Scholar at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens and worked on several excavations in Greece, though I ended up living in Jerusalem and working at the Institute of Archeology, Hebrew University, particularly on Ancient Greek inscriptions and sources for the geography of Palastine. I certainly hope to visit the site someday and see the progress made on preservation of this important find. It is an unusually early Greek synagogue and the inscription is particularly significant.
I supported the preservation of the mosaic and urge you to support it too, it only takes a minute, and it is for a good cause.
